Kansas City, Wide Angles, and Some Daily Exercise
Well, I finally bit the bullet, I picked up the Canon EF-S 10-22mm. With some luck, I found a local seller who was willing to part with the lens for a great price. It was a nice day today so I decided to take a walk around the River Market district. I'm Still working on those photos, but for the time being here are some early samples.

Big Changes with some new pictures.
This last couple of weeks has been a blur. Lets see, over the last month I have: bought two new lens's for my camera, the Canon EF 50mm 1.4 and the EF 28-135mm, have received a new job offer, and moved halfway across the country. But I have still found time to enjoy photography, while honing my skills. Anyways, here are the pictures, this is a photoblog after all.

New Car, finally decided to take some pictures.
Finally got around to taking pictures of my brother's Mazdaspeed 3. These shots were taken using my EF 28-135mm lens that I recently purchased. At this point I still need a wider lens, such as Canon's 10-22mm or Tokina's 11-16mm.

New Lens, Test Shot
So I recently purchased a new lens. Happened to come across a Canon 50 mm 1.4 prime lens. This is just a sample shot testing the low light capabilities of the lens. This was shot in full darkness with only the interior dome light on in the car. Of course a tripod was utilized. Just getting used to the narrow view angle. Remember a 50mm lens on a crop sensor camera is actually 80mm on a full frame sensor (35mm) camera.

Recent Update, Oh..And Japan
So lately I haven't had much time to use my camera due to the inclement weather around the Raleigh area. In the meantime, I have been researching what type of lens should be my next. Due to my limited budget and a need for versatility, I know that I need a zoom lens as opposed to a prime. Also based on my limited experience as a photographer, I believe money spent on the more expensive canon lenses would be a waste. So instead, I have decided to go with a Sigma lens. In particular, the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM lens has caught my eye. Although it's not as well reviewed as the comparable canon lens, It can be had for a fraction of the cost, and it's image quality is well beyond the capabilities of the 18-55 kit lens that I currently use.
In other news, I'm going to Japan in April.. Every thing is basically settled. April 12 -24, Sandra and I are packing our bags and heading to the land of the rising sun! We're taking our 23 hour flight to discover some of the many treasures that Japan has to offer. I'm planning on staying in Tokyo for about a week, and then spending the rest of the time in some of the more rural areas. As of now, I'm trying to read more about the country and plan where exactly i will go and what I'll see.
I have a couple of new pictures, nothing special...
